My Doula package

I take great pride in the relationships and rapport that is built with the families I work with and this package reflects the in-depth work we do before, during and after your baby has been born.
It is different from other Doula packages and it has taken me years to finally offer a package that I feel offers a complete service with continuity at the heart. I offer professional Doula services and antenatal education. I am passionate about empowered pregnancy & dignified childbirth- the way YOU choose. |

Pre-booking
We will meet in a neutral setting (normally a café that serves cake) have some tea and see how we gel. There is no fee for this and no commitment. Antenatal I am a NCT antenatal teacher and I love working in the antenatal period with parents. It is your chance to prepare for the arrival of your baby, and the sessions are led by you. On average we have six antenatal meetings before your birth and we will have a close bond for when your baby arrives. This involves more tea and cake and some suppers together too. On-call I go on call for you around 37 weeks. I will, of course try my best to come to you if you birth before this, and I stay on call until you have your baby. This sometimes means I can be on call for 7 weeks! Birth I will attend you at home, in hospital wherever and whenever you need me during your labour and stay with you throughout with my doula bag of tricks and of course my extra set of hands, eyes and ears just for you and your family. I will mop brows, massage tired feet, fan and feed you and I will always, always be honest with you during your labour. I will hold the space where you give birth and honour & support your birth partner. I don't leave until you are tucked up with tea and toast, whether this be 12 hours or 48. |
Postnatal
Over the years I have felt my role in the postnatal period strengthening, and I trained as a breastfeeding counsellor to deepen my knowledge and level of care I could offer, as when I started out in 2008 I quickly became aware that one or two visits after the birth was not enough to digest, adjust and celebrate the birth of a baby and the creation of a family (or sort out any feeding problems!) My service offers a mirrored period of time as we spent antenatally and we will meet on average 6 times after your baby has been born, normally once or twice in the first week, to get feeding off to a solid start and to support you with healing and sometimes house work! Fees
I ask for £2400 for my Doula package. This reflects the depth of the service I provide, my commitment to you, my experience, time on call and my extensive experience and studies in this area. This fee is inclusive of all travel, my back up doula etc. This is payable in instalments that suits you. For most families this fee covers 3 months+ of working together! When you book me, I will only work with you. I do not overlap clients. You will have my undivided support.
Short Notice bookings
Sometimes you cannot prepare for what comes your way and you may decide you need additional support at the very end of your pregnancy. If I am available, I will be happy to help you and request that we spend half a day together with a spot of lunch, working on your birth preparation, so we have an understanding of each other on the big day. The fee for this service is £1900 and will include full postnatal support.
Please do not let finances put you off approaching me for your birth support. I aim to be flexible. Know your Doula!
